Annual Delta Sig Dogs philanthropy event to benefit PAWS

Submitted by Marcus Kidd

The Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity at K-State will host its annual Delta Sig Dogs philanthropy event to benefit the Purple Power Animal Welfare Society, or PAWS, in the Manhattan and Wamego communities. The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at 1100 Fremont Street in Manhattan.

The Delta Sig Dogs philanthropy event is a yearly tradition that the fraternity puts on to help PAWS raise funds, create awareness, and get dogs adopted out to eligible homes in the Manhattan and surrounding areas. Over the years, the fraternity has raised more than $35,000 for the organization.

"We are thrilled to be able to support PAWS once again this year," said Blake Aurand, a philanthropy chair from the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. "Their work in the community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to be able to help them in their mission to help animals in need."

Tickets for the Delta Sig Dogs event can be purchased through the event website for $7. Join the fun-filled day with whole the family and plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy.
